Warm Up with a Delicious Beef Stew Recipe

When the weather gets cold, there’s nothing better than a warm and comforting beef stew. This easy recipe is sure to become a family favorite. It’s the perfect meal for a cozy night in.
Ingredients:
– 2 tablespoons of olive oil
– 2 pounds of beef stew meat, cut into cubes
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 2 stalks of celery, chopped
– 1 large carrot, peeled and chopped
– 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
– 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
– 2 cups of beef broth
– 1 cup of dry red wine
– 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
– 2 bay leaves
– 1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
– 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
– 2 tablespoons of butter
– 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
1. Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
2. Add the onion, garlic, celery, and carrot to the pot and cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the thyme, tomato paste, beef broth, red wine, Worcestershire sauce, bay leaves, and pepper to the pot and stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1 hour.
4. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and butter until combined. Add the flour mixture to the pot and stir to combine. Simmer for an additional 15 minutes.
5. Remove the bay leaves and season the stew with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with the chopped parsley. Enjoy!
