Milk is a staple in many households and it can be used for a variety of dishes. From creamy soups to rich desserts, there are so many delicious recipes to help you use up that extra milk in your kitchen. Here are some of our favorite recipes that will help you make the most of that extra milk.

Mac and Cheese:
Ingredients:
-1/2 pound elbow macaroni
-2 tablespoons butter
-2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
-2 cups milk
-1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
-1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
3. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add flour and whisk until smooth. Gradually add milk and whisk until mixture is thick.
4. Add cheddar and Parmesan cheese and stir until melted.
5. Add cooked macaroni and stir until combined.
6. Pour mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
7. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Caramelized Onion and Bacon Soup:
Ingredients:
-2 tablespoons olive oil
-2 large onions, thinly sliced
-4 strips bacon, diced
-2 cloves garlic, minced
-4 cups chicken broth
-2 cups milk
-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
-Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onions and bacon and cook until onions are softened and bacon is crispy. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
2. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together milk and flour until smooth. Gradually add to soup and stir until thickened.
4. Simmer for 10 minutes or until soup is thick and creamy.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread:
Ingredients:
-3/4 cup sugar
-1/2 cup butter, softened
-2 eggs
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-2 cups all-purpose flour
-1 teaspoon baking soda
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1/2 cup milk
-2 ripe bananas, mashed
-1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
2. In a large bowl, cream together sugar and butter. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla extract.
3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
4. Add milk, mashed bananas and chocolate chips and stir until combined.
5. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
6. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
7. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
